Beautiful Fire

There was once a girl that she wanted the world
And she did the best she could so she set it ablaze
She said it was for the best that the world was on fire like her eyes
So she started a plan that would end it all in a blaze of glory
Little did she know that there was a guy that would catch the fire in her eyes
And I will catch you like a beautiful fire in the wind x2
There was once a guy that he loved the world so
He did the best he could to help it grow
He loved the trees and all the leaves dancing in the breeze
Until one day he caught wind of a beautiful girl
She had a fire burning in her eyes and he had a fire burning in his mind
And I will catch you like a beautiful fire in the wind x2

Midnight
She looked like someone out of a 1960’s film
Dolled up from head to toe, she had looks that kill
A girl with mysterious eyes
A girl that can tell a lie
She decided to try her luck
When she was about to give up
Give up on love ohhhhhh
Give up on a thing called love
I waited for your call (At midnight midnight)
I knew something was, not right not right
I waited for your call (At midnight midnight)
I knew something was, not right
One afternoon, she looked across the room
To see a love that would bloom
She knew from that moment on
It was true love that won
She mustered up the courage to say hello
To that dashing fellow
I waited for your call (At midnight midnight)
I knew something was, not right not right
I waited for your call (At midnight midnight)
I knew something was, not right
On their first date she was nervous nervous
And he was hoping this new love would flourish
She tripped over herself and they laughed
I waited for your call (At midnight midnight)
I knew something was, not right not right
I waited for your call (At midnight midnight)
I knew something was, not right
She tripped over herself and they laughed
Thinking thoughts of true love that would last
Her face was beautiful underneath that street light
He walked her back to her car promising he’d call her at midnight
But he never made it home
